Authentic Coat & Skirt
Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres
(German Army Female Auxiliary)
|
According to the previous owner, this unusual 2-piece uniform belonged to a female helper in the German Army during World War II. The coat has several pockets, including four on the outside, as well as the auxiliaries' national emblem stitched over the right breast. I do not know the rank or function indicated by the collar tabs and shoulder straps.
The label in one of the inside pockets says:
|
C. LOUIS WEBER
Auftr. 250/73
Mit Frontfixierung
178
92-45
|
|
There is even a crumbled note hand-written in German (presumably during the war), still left in an outside pocket.
