The RAD, or Reichsarbeitsdienst, was the National Labor Service that was compulsory for older boys and girls in the Third Reich. The man at the right is RAD leader Konstantin Hierl, who is speaking with Mrs. Alfieri, the wife of Italy's ambassador to Germany.
